Why I Volunteer, & Why It Continues to Shape Me

Volunteering has never been something I did for recognition or to fill a line on a CV. It has been a thread running quietly through my life, one that has shaped who I am, grounded me in purpose, and continually reminded me of the power of showing up for others.

From small acts of service to long-term commitments in communities facing extraordinary challenges, each experience has taught me something different about resilience, humanity, and the kind of world we can create when we choose to care.

This page brings together the moments, projects, and people that have stayed with me. It’s a record of the times I gave my time, skills, and heart, and the ways those experiences gave something back to me in return.

Volunteering hasn’t just influenced the work I do today. It has shaped the person I’ve become.
